‘Play is the highest form of research.’ – Albert Einstein

Welcome to Ten Acre Early Education & Care, founded by Jemma O’Brien, an Early Years Teacher with over 20 years’ experience working with young children and families.

Ten Acre offers a calm, nature-inspired approach to early childhood, supporting children, parents and educators through childcare, home education support, tutoring and professional training.

My work is inspired by:

  • Nature-based learning
  • Hygge in the Early Years / The Curiosity Approach
  • Nurturing small group environments

How I can help:

Childminding/Nannying

A small, home-based setting for children aged 2/3+ to 8 years old offering warm, nurturing childcare and early education inspired by nature and curiosity-led learning. Ten Acre also offers a flexible hybrid nannying option.

Home Education Support

Support for families educating young children at home, including early years learning guidance, curriculum planning, childminding/nannying as required and small group sessions with parents/carers present.

Tutoring

Learning support for students 14+ studying GCSE Child Development or early years qualifications.

Training & Workshops

Professional development sessions for early years practitioners and for parents/carers interested in child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
